As a member of National Household Employer Association, you have the option to establish a SIMPLE 401(k) plan to provide your household employee with retirement benefits.
This type of plan is very appropriate for households employing domestic workers, with many options for tax savings, employer contributions, and self-direction of investments.
Household employees also have access to financial fiduciary advisors to help them choose and manage their investments.
SIMPLE 401(k) plans may also be rolled over to another qualified retirement plan (such as an Individual Retirement Account, or IRA), and the employee always remains 100% vested.
